Get Ready Lady Anglers!
The REEL Ladies Fishing Tournament is coming on October 1st, 2011 and it's just for you!
Mark your calendars and get your teams together for a great time and a chance to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Support Organization!
It all kicks off on Friday September 30th at the Laishley Crab House Banquet Room for a Welcome Reception and Silent Auction. There will be loads of great items up for bid, not only for the Lady Anglers in the room but for the guys as well. All the proceeds raised from the raffle and silent auction will be donated to the Southwest Florida chapter of the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation. There will be Hor-dourves served and there will be a rules meeting for the competing teams. All ladies will receive a limited edition Pink REEL Ladies T Shirt and the Male Captains will receive white T Shirts.
Saturday Morning, all of our teams will be treated to a continental breakfast on the Laishley Park Patio before the 8:00am official start. Teams will be released in the order they registered so get you entries in early. There will be a raffle for Boat #1 and a chance to have a 5 minute head start. The targeted species of the day is, of course, LADYFISH, and our all girl teams are challenged with catching 10 ladyfish to bring back to the weigh-in. The scales open at 2:00pm and there will be "Dock Boys" on hand to carry our ladies bag of ladyfish to the stage. After the weigh-in is complete all of our teams are invited upstairs in the Laishley Crab House for the Awards Ceremony and Buffet.
Entry Fee for the tournament is $90 per female angler, you may have as few as one or as many as three ladies on any one team, and you only pay for the number of ladies on your team. You may also add a male "Captain" to your team for $30.00 more. The male "Captain" may drive the boat, catch bait, bait hooks, rig rods, help land fish, and even get cold drinks from the cooler for you. They MAY NOT assist in casting, fighting, or reeling in of any fish.
